York: Viking City

Travelling in UK is facinating for those who loves history. And for me, York is know because of York University (budak budak argriculture ramai kat sini) and because of its factory outlet (kekeke... mana boleh lupa kan?? acara wajin tuh). York also is acultural getaway or a romantic weekend break for Londeners .... and I am sure you will get inspired for its exquisite architecture, tangle of quaint cobbled streets and the iconic York Minster, picturistiqe streets with all cutting-edge scene.

Drove into the York city you will see the fort, museums, and vibrant café culture.... tak banyak but I saw few ...

Once in York, you feel that this old city... filled with the new and the common place meets with the unexpected. Get into the churhes, museums and if you lucky enough, get the entrance free, take picture with the vikings out of no expence at all .... lelebih lagi kalau kita ni nampak 'asing' - pakai tudung contohnya.. atau pakai baju melayu kekekekeke.....

So next time, kalau ke London, singgah lah ke Youk.. helps you to broaden your mind with a visit to world class museums, churhes and historical heritage..and most important must visit - FACTORY OUTLET !!!!! .... soping taim!

Angels & Demons

Angels and Demons ... ingat tak citer ni? directed by Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks for the sequel to their adaptation from The Da Vinci Code.

Hanks dalam citer ni sebagai professor Robert Langdon, yang kononnya the most respected symbologist in the United States, who uses his knowledge in order to decode a symbol on the skin of a murder victim. Bab ni macam tak logik laaa... org US lebih tau dari orang di Vatican & Rome... though actual fact that kononnya Hanks tu bekas paderi. The clues help him to follow on the trail of an international conspiracy involving the Catholic Church and finally solve the problem.

Alhamdulillah...... I went to all the places and its interesting to see it. So, we all pun jadi team professor Robert Langdon... kekek perasan kan??

Paris 2009

Paris is easy to get connected from London. Eurostar is the most popular among tourist because its only takes couple of hours. Since Paris is not particularly big, we explore Paris by foot and took a bus from London to Paris, which we have to sleep in the bus. To cross the English Channel, the bus had to board a train! We arrived early and we begin our strenuous activity in Paris!

Paris is the most romantic destination that springs automatically to mind. It may not have crystal sunny day or warm white beaches, but it has much more to offer. The atmospheres are something everybody would not amiss. It is easy to see why Paris is the most memorable trip.

Paris, from my eyes is not particularly big but the exquisite architecture, amorous sceneries and the surroundings really unexplainable. Those who have watched movie on Hitler invaded Paris, this is the marched of Hitler’s army once they entered and declared that Paris is in their hands. Filled with historical monuments and stories, that makes Paris so close to my heart.

Most of the buildings in Paris has it win decorative elements that certainly attractive with the from byzantine to napoleon, it a mixed. The Louvre Museum is a must! Famous Pei glass pyramids is an opener at the entrance of the Louvre Museum, a walking distance to meet the ‘Monalisa’

Jardin Des Tuileries – most enchanting and of course the famous naked lady in the garden! Here my mom and dad. Dad wanted to take this picture alone but mom was there! Gotcha!!!

I like this photo... my dad was resting while waiting for us 'menggila' ambil gambar... comel...

One of our major destination is to the ‘City of Light’, and of course the magnificent tower – we take hundreds of snaps (in the bus) unknowingly its just a walking distance from our hotel to the Eiffel Tower!. Along the way to Eiffel, you could see many young couples and families, some of them are alone just to watch the tower. I believe that these people full of esthetics values.

Shopping in Paris can make you cry! Whether its shopaholic tears or the opposite! Just be careful of using English in Paris especially if you want to buy mineral water (Avian of course!). My humble advise, use your mother tongue language plus the sign language (never in English). They will love it. Unless if you go the departmental stores like Louis Vuitton! Here, I learnt from the sales executive how to identify a fake LV and what make LV is so distinguished from others. The code is noted somewhere inside the bag and just like birth certificate of the bag. All LV bags are handmade, and patterned.

My sister, has listed how to identify the LV identification in her blog:

www.psycheupp.blogspot.com/2009/07/she-loves-authentics.html.

You may get more tips there!

In all......Paris is something… but many other things you can find around the globe. My next destination would be Romania. After meeting Napoleon and Monalisa, I would like to meet Val Hensing and his fighting partner – The Count Dracula!!!!

Facts about cats

This marvelous creature... is magic... because:
  • All kittens are born with blue eyes, which eventually changes color over time.

  • Cats always land on their feet.

  • Cats communicate using about 16 “cat words.”

  • Cats can usually live for around 14 years and some up to 20.

  • There are around 36 species in the cat family.

  • Cats sleep for about 16 hours a day.

  • Cats like to eat their food at room temperature.

  • Cats like to eat grass.

  • Cats have a 3rd eyelid called a haw.

  • The sense of smell for cats is 14 times stronger than humans.

  • Cats nose pads are like human fingerprints, each one is unique.

HOW TO TELL YOU CAT IS PLAYING OR FIGHTING??

  • When cats are playing, they may each hiss once or twice, but if your cats hiss several times, most likely they are fighting.
  • Cats who play with one another tend to take turns in the offensive and defensive postures. While engaged in fighting, there’s usually no role reversal.
  • No yowling or screaming should be present in play.
  • Cats should not get hurt during play, unless it’s by accident. Cats fighting may give or receive a bite or scratch wound.
  • When your cats are done playing they should act normal with each other, not avoid each other. After fighting, one or both of the cats will tend to stay out of each other’s way.
  • If you have cats who don’t tend to get along with each other and they look like they’re playing, they may actually be fighting. If you are not sure, try to distract them with a positive noise, like the can opener or shaking the treat box. Be sure to keep it positive however. You don’t want to discourage a possible friendship if they really are playing.
